My future road
August 6, 2026
Nowadays, AI has ended the legend of heros. Has this trend affected me? And what does my future path look like?
Looking back on my early years, those were truly the good old days. I never worried about money, for the burdens of life had not yet fallen on my shoulders. I simply lived happily to observe the world and embrace knowledge. Admittedly, what spurred me on largely stemmed from ranking near the top of my class, yet deep down in those days, learning remained a joyful means for me to explore and decipher the world.
As I grew older, however, my motivation for learning gradually soured. I began to study out of necessity — to get into a better school and secure a better job.
For ten years, my original aspiration has long been buried beneath worldly pressures. Now, I finally could dig it back up.
Being someone devoted to mathematical research, it is only natural that I once dreamed of winning the Fields Medal and obtaining a research position at IHES. On the surface, I longed to be recognized by the world, to hear people marvel at my achievements. But far more deeply, I craved a lifelong state of freedom — one that allows me to explore the world of knowledge every single day.
I am fortunate to have let go of that superficial desire for fame. Most people will never truly comprehend my academic research, nor can they walk in my shoes and understand everything I go through while pursuing this work. Consequently, I no longer need their praise or recognition to validate my research.
With this clarity, my future path has become unmistakably clear. I will take this powerful tool — AI — to pursue meaningful, essential research that serves my academic journey.
First, I will leverage AI to advance my research on the four key conjectures in harmonic analysis.
Second, I will utilize AI to cultivate my aesthetic sense in mathematics and develop a precise judgment of what constitutes meaningful mathematical problems.
Third, I will rely on AI to explore the intrinsic connections between harmonic analysis, the physical world, and the real world.
From this moment on, I am ready to start from trivial, incremental progress. I am genuinely excited to look ahead to the day when my ultimate academic goals are fully accomplished.
