Less is more
April 4, 2026
Everytime I sit down wanting to read something, thoughts of the past creep into my mind. Because of that, I lose focus and start regretting why I didn't do things differently.
Two years ago, I could comfort myself by saying I had two little, and that I needed more of it to concentrate. But now I have plenty of time, yet I don't know how to organize it rationally.
Still, I choose to forgive myself, because dwelling on these thoughts is exactly what's wasting my time right now.
Besides, Tao once said that life at the IAS was totally peaceful. At first, he poured out, one after another, the ideas that had been piling up in his mind for so long. But soon after, boredom set in, and he found himself turning to the Internet.
So if even those brilliant minds feel bored when there is nothing to ignite their minds, then there is even less need for me to feel anxious about another day that leads nowhere.
Follow your thoughts. Sleep when you are tired, eat when you are hungry. Let your mind rest, and don't be in a hurry to set off. Don't always worry about the time you have wasted.
Clear out the baggage in your mind, and start walking again. Sometimes, less is more.
